Williamsburg Kentucky Jany 18th 1861
To His Excellency the Governor of Ky

Your petitioner George Bunch would Respectfully and humbly represent that at [ ] Term of the Whitley Circuit Court He was indicted upon the information of Larkin Boling for playing cards for money and at the [ ] Term of Said Court He was tryed and fineed $20. which was also upon the testimony of Said Boling alone He States most positively that Said Boling Sware are a ball faced lie against Him that He did not play or bet in the game for which He was indicted & that is intirely inocent in the matter He states that Said Boling is a perfect desperado and is now a fugitive from Justice and has Spent a considerable portion of His life thus far in the Jail of this county for numerous violations of the penal & criminal Laws of this Commonwelth and now Stands indicted for felony in the Whitley Circuit court and has fled to parts unknown to Your petitioner who States that He is a very poor man with a large Family and really not able to pay Said fine & that unless Your Excellency will interpose His Sureties who are clever men will in spite of all your petition can do have Said << fine to pay as He feels that it is not possible for Him to raise the money to pay it Himself oweing to the extreme pressure in money matters at present He therefore pleads a remission of the Same by the Governor Respectuflly

We the undersigned believing the Statements of Geore Bunch in His petition to be true would respectfully Solicit a remission of Said fine Jany the [ ] 1861
