I Douglas Little presiding Judge for M^cLean county Kentucky ~~do solemnly do swear that I~~ certify that John J. Washer ^personally^ appeared before me and took the following oath To Wit: I John J. Washer do solemnly do swear that I will faithfully support the constitution of the united State and the constitution of Kentucky and will discharge all and singular the duties appertaining to the office of Second Lieutenant in the Volunteer Militia agreeably to the law and general regulations and will obey such orders and instructions as I shall from time to time receive from the proper officers

Which is hereby certified to general head Quarters.
