Louisville, Sept 28^thMy dear Mrs Bramlet,

My Cousin Will Scott gave me some money requesting me to purchase a Cloak for you. I do not like any of the Cloaks here at the price they ask, for black beaver cloth circles very plain they ask $35 for silk sacques with very little triming they ask $70. Merriman who keeps a Cloak store says he can make you a handsome cloth circle for $40, but you have to take it, if he makes it whether you like it or not.
Some persons prefer circles others prefer the sacques, both are equally fashionable, not knowing your taste I concluded to write to you, let me know your decision and I will execute that and any other commission with pleasure for you, with kindest regards to the Governor,
