Spencer County SS

This day personaly appeared before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for Said County, Clem Crowdes who being sworn ~~and~~ says that Charles Flood (alias Charles Jones) And Albert Catlin (alias Charles Clark) on or about the ~~first day~~ fifteenth day of November, 1865, in the night time of say day, to wit: about the hour of one o'clock A. M. of said night, at and in Said County of Spencer and State of Indiana, with force and Arms, did there and then unlawfully, forcably, feloniously and burglariously brake and enter the Store house of George H. Balsly there & then Situate in Said County, and and they, the said Charles Flood and Albert Catlin did there and then unlawfully and feloniously take, steal and carry away four thousand dollars in United States currency commonly called "Green Back" and in the bonds of the United States commonly called seven thirties, and gold coin, of the ~~[...]~~ United States And in silver coin of the United Stats -- said green back currency bonds and gold and Silver then and there being the property of Robert Graham and of the value of four thousand dollars -- and further saith not --

The State of Indiana, Spencer County, SS:

I, B. T. Smith, Clerk of the Circuit Court, within and for the County of spencer aforesaid, do hereby certify that S. S. Stuteville, Esq., whose certificate of acknowledgement appears to the Instrument of writing to which this is attached, was, at the time of making said certificate, to-wit: the 20th day of December 1865, an acting Justice of the Peace within and for said County of Spencer duly elected, commissioned, and qualified, and that full faith and credit ought to be given to his official acts, and that the signature purporting to be his, is genuine.

Personally appeared before my Laz. Noble Clerk of the Supreme Court for the State of Indiana, Robert Graham who being duly sworn on oath says that Albert Catlin (alias Charles Clark) is a fugitive from justice of Indiana and believed to be in the State of Kentucky and further on oath says that Charles Flood (alias Charles Jones) is also a fugitive
from justice of the State of Indiana and believed to be in the neighborhood of Hanover Junction either in the State of Pennsylvania or Maryland, that said parties are charged with Burglary committed in Spencer County Indiana.
