PEOPLE'S WARRANT.

STATE OF ILLINOIS,
Morgan COUNTY. } SS.

Robert Smith Comes and on his oath complains against one Robert Pullum and says that he, the said Robert Pullum did, at the County of Morgan, in the State of Illinois, on the 24^th day of July A. D. 1864, commit a criminal offence, to-wit: Did with malice aforethought with a loaded Revolver shoot, kill, and murder one James Burns, then being in the peace of the People Contrary to the Statute in such case made and provided and that he, the said Robert Smith has just and reasonable grounds to suspect, and does verily believe, that Robert Pullum has committed the same; and therefore he, the said Robert Smith, prays that a Warrant may issue against the said Robert Pullum

The People of the State of Illinois,
To all Coroners, Sheriffs and Constables of said State---GREETING:

WHEREAS, Robert Smith has made complaint before me, Jeremiah Pierson, one of the Justices of the Peace within and for said County, against Robert Pullum, in the words and figures set forth in the foregoing complaint by the said Robert Smith subscribed and sworn to on this day:

You are therefore hereby commanded in the name and by the authority of the said People, to arrest the said Robert Pullum, and bring him forthwith before me, or some other Justice of said County, to answer said complaint, and to be dealt with according to law.
