Dear Sir

On the 20^th day of April 1865, Wilkens Warren committed a most foul murder in this County, by murdering one Adams, Warren has fled he shot Adams twice, cut out one of his testicles, cut off of his left ear, and shot in two places, Warren was formerly in the State Service, (6 months) was a Lieutenant is about 33 years of age, Slight made, about 5 feet 10 winches high quick spoken, dark hair and eyes, and generally wears a military Coat, high top boots, and checked pants,, It is one of the most brutal murders that I ever heard of,, The verdict of the Jury in this case stating these facts have been returned
in my office,,
