To. His Excellency
Thomas. E. Bramlette. Governor of Kentucky.

Your Petitioner Dutten Loveall would state, at the present ~~April~~ Oct Term (1865) of the Wayne Circuit Court, a judgment was rendered against him & one I. G. Herbert for $500, as security for the appearance of G. W. Loveall at the present term of said court, hsaid Loveall being charged with a felony --

Your petitioner states, that his son ^G. W. Loveall^ had Joined Capt. B. G. Tate's Company a short time before court, and was ordered to report to said Tate at Somerset, to go to Camp Nelson to be mustered into U. S. Service -- He states he went to Somerset and from thence to Camp Nelson; He states, that he was ordered to report at Somerset at the same time he was to have been present at the Wayne Court -- He states, his son would have been present at court in discharge of his bond, had not he been ordered to report to his Capt at Somerset -- He says this is a hard case on him, that he is poor, and far advanced in life, and that if he has to pay this Judgment he will be completely ruined: He asks your Excellency to remit this judgment, as an act of mercy, kindness and justice: Oct 12. 1865 --
