I Samuel R. Stucker upon Oath Say that I am a resident citizen of the County of Floyd and State of Indiana, that I am personally and well acquainted with William Ramsey Junior, having known him almost from his infancy, having all that time ^been^ on intimate terms with him and his family, and know that he Sustained a good Character for honest and morality up to the time of the Commission of the offense alledged to have been committed by him and Joseph Eaton, of horse Stealing. That I also know said Joseph Eaton, before the arrest ~~and~~ of Said W^m Ramsey, Jun, and said Eaton, Said Eaton informed said affiant that Said William Ramsey, Junior, had purchased the horse of him Said Eaton for Seventy Dollars. That William Ramsey Junior employed Said affiant to ^take^ care of said horse for him, and said affiant had in said horse in his possession about Eight days, and wrode him every
day with the knowledge of said William Ramsey Junior, and ~~[...]~~ no attempt whatever was made by said William Ramsey Jun, or affiant to Conceal Said horse. Said affiant at that time lived on a Public Road, about twenty mile from new albany, Ind.
