William Lohn

Jefferson Circuit Court,
January Term, A. D. 1865.

The Grand Jurors of the County of Jefferson in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, accuse William Lohn of the crime of Burglary committed in the manner and form as follows, to=wit: The said William Lohn in the said County of Jefferson on the [ ] day of December A. D. 1864, with force and arms feloniously ~~did take steal and carry away~~ and burglariously did break into and enter in the night time the store house of Wm Greene, Wm Burlage & Julius Eshman with the intent to commit a felony & therefrom did take steal and carry away sundry pieces of hair cloth & damask cloth and pieces of Gimp worth three hundred dollars the property of said Greene, Burlage & Eshman contrary to the form of the statute in such cases, made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Wm Lohn who has been indicted by a Grand Jury of this circuit for felony, and who is now confined in the jail of this county on said charge, was this led to the bar of this Court. by and in the custody of the jailor attending the same & being arranged upon s^d indictment plead not guilty thereto & for his trial put himself upon the country and the attorney for the Commonwealth likewise wherefore to try the issue joined let a Jury come and thereupon came a jury towit: John Price W P. Sheppard Jacob Parsons, Geo Swope, G W Grippy J Enders W R Hydes A Campbell J V Cowling, Cha^s Ketchum. F A Kaye G F: Downs who being duly elected tried & sworn well & truly to try & true deliverance make between the Commonwealth & the accused upon oath returned into court the following verdict -- We of the jury find the deft named in the within indictment guilty and say he shall be confined in the jail & penitentiary of this Commonwealth four years --
