Affiants Sarah Jane Harrison & Nancy Tucker Jr state [that] they were at Nancy Tuckers in Casey County on the 30 day of November 1864 -- and that Mr Robert shively -- Mr John Brownfield -- Mr Thomas Capeheart rode up to the house of the S^d Nancy Tucker and enquired for and searched the house of s^d Nancy Tucker for W. B. Tucker stating that if they could find him they would blow his ^damned^ brains out, & that wethey believe that if they had found him they would have killed him -- The above named men who made the above threat live in Taylor County Ky and not more than Eight miles from W. B. Tuckers place of residence -- And that said W. B. Tucker would be in danger of lossing his life by comeing in that region of country and is absent from that cause for his personal safety --

Affiant S. B. Harrison states that on the morning ~~after~~of the 30^th November 1864 in one half hour after the men named in the affidavit of Mr^s Harrison & Miss Tucker above had left Tucker came on the place near home -- and this affiant and Lee Harrison met him and informed him of the threats that had been made against his life -- and advised him to leave -- whereupon he leaped from his horse and took to the bushes -- and apon their advice he left the country and has not been back since --
