Isham Emarine Says I was at the school House in Livingston County District 8 in the neighborhood in which Mr Bozman lived and W. W. Clemens was the teacher on the last day of the school about the 23^th Day of December 1861 Mr. Bozman being at the schoolhouse a Dificulty took place between Mr Bozman & W, W, Clemens owing to Mr W, W, Clemens having whiped ~~whiped~~ Mr Bozmans children Mr Bozman was in the school steped up to Clemens shuck his fist in his face call him a Damned rascal & a Damned coward W. W. Clemens said Mr Bozman I Dont want any Dificulty and insisted that they Should have no fuss Bozman then said Mr Clemens you Deserve Death for the way you have treated my children William Clemens then said I am will for the children to show their Backs and if I have misstreated I am willing to acknowledge I have Done wrong Mr Bozman said Clemens you are evry thing But a gentleman throug the influence of myself and others the school was Dismissed and the Difficulty Squashed Mr, Bozman said as he turned off Clemens I will see you again

this March 2^d 1865

This day Isham Emerine personaly appeared before me J, T, Bronsten and acting Justice of the Peace for Livingston County Ky & made oathe that the with in statement, was true to the best of his beleaf & knowledge given under my hand this March the 2^t 1865,
