"The Commonwealth of Kentucky to the Sheriff of Fayette County.

<< Sum^s. on Forfeited Bail Bond >

You are commanded to summon John McNichols & James Moran to appear in the Scott Circuit Court on the first day of its next November Term to show cause why Judgement should not be rendered against them for $400 dollars, on account of the forfeiture of the bail bond executed by them for the appearance of John McClosky in said Court, for Murder; and have then and there this writ, with due return how you have executed it. Given under my hand as clerk this 24 day of June 1864"

At a Court held for the circuit of Scott at the Courthouse in Georgetown on the 21^st day of No^r. (First Day of Term) 1864 The following Judgt was Rendered, viz:

Commonwealth of Ky Plaintiff
against (1X Indict (No 276) Forfeited Recog
John M^cNichols & James Moran Defendants

The defendant John M^cNichols having been duly summoned and failing to answer and the court advised It is ordered and adjudged that the plaintiff recover of said defendant the sum of Four hundred dollars with interest thereon at the rate of six per centum per annum from the 21 day of November 1864 until paid & his costs herein expended

Ordered that alias process issue herein to Bourbon County against the defendant James Moran & cause is continued as to him

And on the first day of December following an execution issued ^to Fayette County^ on the foregoing Judgement, in words & figures as follows to-wit:

"The Commonwealth of Kentucky
To the sheriff of Fayette County, Greeting

We command you that of the estate of John Mc'Nichol, late of your bailiwick, you cause to be made the sum of Four Hundred Dollars, which the Commonwealth of Kentucky late in our Scott Circuit Court hath recovered against him for debt, with interest therein at the rate of six per cent per annum from the 21^st day of November 1864 until paid; also, the sum of $4³⁵, which
"to the said Commonwealth of Kentucky in said court were adjudged for his costs in that suit expended, whereof s^d McNichol is convicted, as appears to us of record; and that you have the same before said court on the 30^th day of in January next, to render to the said Commonwealth Ky., the debt, interest & costs aforesaid; and have then and there this writ

Witness John W Holloway clerk of Said Court this 1^st day of December 1864, and in the 73^d year of the Commonwealth"
