your petitioner ^E L Siler^ wold Respectible Represent to your Excelence that at the august terme of the Whitely circuit court 1864 that they was a judgment Rendered by the courte against him as a tavern keeper for failing to set up his tavern Rates in his tavern house he states that he was Regulare licened and had paid the state tax and that he was informed and he believed it to be true that was all that he had to do he states that he had no notion of Violating the law and that he was Ignorant of they being any such a statute ~~in violation of the~~ and when he found he had violated the law and was endited he submited the same and facts to the courte and the courte handed judgment against him for seventy five dollars and that unless your excelence enterposes that he will have said fine to pay he thare fore pray that your Excelence intre pose and set the judgment aside and to Remit the fine and for all other Proper Relief
