Foster Bracken Co. K.y June 10^th ^1864^
Hon. Thomas E. Bramlette Govenor K.y

At the last August term of the Bracken Circuit court G. S. Kimberly was adjudged guilty of keeping a gambling House in the Town of Foster ^K.y^ and was fined $200.⁰⁰ we at that time made you what we then thought to be a true statement of the case, and petitioned Executive clemency in his be half. in answer to which we learn that you respited the collection for one year from date.

We are now ready and do hearby reaffirm the statements made in our former petition with the following addition that Mr Kimberly was on the 6^th day of June Drafted into the service of the U. S. A. for the period of 3 years. we reaffirm our statement that we do not believe Mr Kimberly Guilty of the crime Judged against ^him^ and that he is a peacible Industrious and hard work man and will if taken to the Army Necessaryly have to leave his family in embarrassed circumsances We would therefore respectfully but most earnestly ask you to remit said fine entirely, or so much of it as the power vested in you will permit Hopeing you will not disregard our earnest petion we respectfully leave the matter with you
