To the excelence of the goveorner of the Commonwealth of Kentucky your petitioner wold Represent that at the August Term of the Whitley Circuit Court that the grand jury of Whitley County found an inditement against your petitioner for keeping a tipting house and that at the present March Terme of the Whitley Circuit Court that he your petitioner came in to court and plead gitly and the law and facts was submited to the Court and that the court Rendered Judgement against him for Sixty dollars your petitioner states that he had obtained a tavern licen previous to that time and ~~the~~ owing to the Rebles Raids in to this Country that your petitioner forgot that his ~~had~~ licen had expired he states that his licens was out but a short time till he found his licens was out and that his petitioners went and Renewed his lisan and the selling was between the time of the expiration of the licens and the time he Renewed the same he states that he did not know that the licens was out and that your petitioner had no notion of violating the law that he in good faith ~~had~~ thought that he had licens and acted in good faith he prays that your Excelence Remit the fine and Set the Judgement a side and for all Proper Releafe
