To the Excelence of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky your your Petitioner Morgan Bryant wold Respectible Represent to your Excelence that at the August terme of the Whitley Circuit Court 1863 that the grand Jury of Whitley County found ian inditement against him for selling liquare as a destillare by the Quarte and permiting it to be drunk on the primisees wheare sold but not on the primisees of ~~the~~ your petitioner your ~~primisces~~ petitioner says that at the present march terme of the whitley circuit court that he come in to court and plead gilty and the law and facts was submited to the courte and that the Courte Rendered a Judgement against him for twenty dollars and that he had no intention of vialating the law that at the time of making the sail he acted in good faith beleaving he had a [perfect] Rite to sell as he did & as soon as he was in formed that he was vialating the law that he Quite sellinge and ~~that~~ he prays that your Excelence interpose and ~~[...]~~ pardon and to Remit the fine and to set aside the Judgement and pardin him and for all Proper Releafe
