The Grand Jury of Livingston County in the name and by the Authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky accuse L R Cheek of the offense of selling Spiritous Liquor to a Slave named Henry the property of D B Sanders committed as follows viz: The said L. R. Cheek on the 9^th day of February 1863 in the County aforesaid did sell or give Spritous Liquer to a Slave named Henry the property of D B Sanders and without the written order or consent of him the said D B Sanders or of the person entitled to the custody or control of the said Slave for the time being and he the said L R Cheek not having then the custody or control of the said Slave Henry- against the Statute in such cases made and provided and against the peace and diginity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky
