My Battery is stationed at this post, and among the men, of which it is composed are some, who, when they enlisted, were residents of other states than Kentucky, on the 6^th of this month one year ago, they were mustered into the service of the United States. Since which time they have not been out of the state only excepting a few days, when some were absent on reenlistment furlough.

They have been within the city of Lexington Ky since the 1^st day of June -- Now, Sir, in view of the above state of case, ~~does not have~~ ^has not^ each and every voter in my Battery the privilege of voting at this city: and is not each and every one of them a citizen of Ky. by virtue of having been in the state one year

Any information which you can give me upon the subject will be highly appreciated.
