Maj. W. H. Sidell- U. S. A.
A. A. Pro. Mar. Genl.
Louisville- Ky,
Major,
Your communication to the Governor has been referred to this Department. It has been [d]etermined to make each County in the State a sub-District — within the meaning of the Provost Marshal General, and arrangements are now making to accurately determine the quota of each county under the late call.
For this prupose a General order will issue in a few days — as soon as possible — assigning the number to be raised in each sub-District — and you shall be supplied with it.
Respectfully,
Your ob't serv't
John Boyle
Adjt. Gen of Ky
