The within application of Edwin Thomson is respectfully recommended to favorable consideration. Mr Thomson is Chief Clerk of the Court Martial and military Commission of which I am Judge Advocate, and his appointment as Notary will greatly facilitate citisen witnesses in securing their pay for transportation to and from, and attendance on the court.
