Having commenced the practice of law, in this city, and being desirous of procuring the appointment as Commissioner of the State of Kentucky for this State, my father J. W. Zacharie has recommended me to ask your kind offices in fowarding, and supporting with any influence that you may have in that quarter, the enclosed application. Should references be needed, I can give the best here, and should you incur any expense in the matter, I will cheerfully refund the same, and be under many obligations to you for your assistance.
