Sir,
I would respectfully solicit the appointment of Notary Publick for Fayett County, my Son Goe Scott Jr. & & myself occupy the same office he has the appointment of Notary from you he is necessary absent sometimes when it would be a Conveniance to the publick if I could act, I have held the office of Constable for a number of years, but now there is very little doing in my business, it becomes me to make every little I can, if you do not think it incompatable with your Duty I would be under obligation to you for the appointmet, J. W. Prewitt of Frankfort is well acquainted with me. I shall ask him to call on you,
