Frankfort.
Sir — I held the commission of Commissioner for the State of Kentucky for some years having been Appointed by Gov. Moorhead. It has now expired — it Expired whilst I was absent in the army, wher I have been for most of the time since the war broke out. Having been taken prisoner, I contracted a disease in Sibly Prison at Richmond, which compelled me to resign, and I am now engaged in the practice of the law,
I address you for the purpose of having my commission renewed.
