Bracken County Court
October Term 1863.

Andrew Wells Esq, who was commissioned Justice of the Peace in the 4th District, in the County of Bracken, on the 8th day of May 1863, tendered to the Court his resignation, of his office, in writing; which is accepted by the court; and thereupon his office is declared vacant.

Whereupon, it is ordered that John E. McClean Esq be, and he is hereby recommended to his Excellency, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as a proper person to be commissioned as a Justice of the Peace in the 4th District in said County, to fill the vacancy occassioned by the resignation of the said Andrew Wells Esq, until the election in May 1864, and until his successor, then chosen shall qualify.
