To the Governor of the State of Kentucky
Sir
I Respectfuly make application for the appointment as a commissioner of Your State to take the acknowledgements of Deeds, affidavits, Depositions and other instruments of Writing in the District of Colombia to be used and Recorded in your State. I have an office in the Center of Business in this City and have been for some time a Commissioner for a number of the States of the Union and have frequent calls from Soldiers and others to take acknowledgements for Your State, Which would be a great Convenience.
I can produce Certificate of public offices here of my capability and of my Loyalty
