Dear Gov-
A forfeiture and Judgment has been obtained in the Lincoln Circuit Court. against Garland Adams in the case of The Commonwealth against E J. James for $100- as surety in said James Bail bond, Adams is an industrious honest & poor young man and was over persuatded to go. James security for his appearance as James was his cousin and the charge petit larceny — and I think the case one which deserves the exercise of Executive Clemency.
I therefore hope you will remit one half of said forefeiture as I think he can secure him self in the ballance=
